Rule 1 - Deciding where to sit |

Pick
out player names at random. Who you sit next to will have a major influence
on your game. The ideal is to sit left of a passive player who does not
raise, as you will see alot of 'free cards' without having to put money
in. |

Rule 2 - The Hole Cards (2 cards of your own) |

In a Texas Hold'em game each
person is dealt 2 cards face down, the 'hole cards'. A round of betting
takes place. There are
5 more cards to come and the strength of your hand may change. |

Rule 3 - The Flop (shared cards 1, 2 and 3) |

| The
dealer turns 3 cards face up in the centre of the table. These are community
cards that can be used by every player. You now have a five card poker hand
(your 2 plus 3 shared). A round of betting takes place. |

Rule 4 - Fourth Street (shared card number 4) |

4th community card is dealt face up in the centre of the table. You must
select 5 cards from 6 to make the best poker hand. The strength of your
hand will have changed. A round of betting takes place. |

You
have a total of 7 cards, 5 shared and 2 of your own. You can only use
five to make a best poker hand. A round of betting takes place. Raise,
call or fold? Its time to decide whether your hand can win! |

Once
the final round of betting is completed, any players left in the game
show their 2 hole cards and announce their best hand. The winner is the
player with the highest ranking 5 card poker hand. It is possible that
all 5 shared cards make the best hand and the pot may be split.
Players
that fold during the game do not have to show their cards. If a player
raises and all the players fold, he wins the hand. This player does not
have to show his cards. You have to call a raise and 'pay the looking
price' to see a players cards. |
